HOW TO CONSIGN AT PB&J
PREPARE YOUR ITEMS
Clothing should be freshly cleaned and pressed, if needed, in ready-to-sell condition with no cooking or musty or smoky odors. Nothing is worse to a pregnant woman, remember? Then hang them on hangers you don't mind parting with. Don't poke any pin holes in knits. If it's impossible to hang, like a halter top, just drape it on a hanger. Reuse dry-cleaning bags to keep the items clean in transport. No bags, bins or boxes.
DROP-OFF CLOTHES
We don't set appointments, nor do we go through your clothes as soon as you bring them in. You may drop off clothes any time we are open, Tuesday through Saturday, 10 to 5. It takes less than 5 minutes, but there is a little bit of paperwork to sign. If getting the baby and an armload of clothes into the store seems impossible, call from the car and we'll help you unload at the curb. But you still have to come inside.
WE REVIEW YOUR ITEMS
We will hang your clothes on our processing rack and mark them with the consignment number we assign you. As time permits, we will look through them to decide which ones we feel we can sell. We will determine a price and e-mail an itemized list to you for your records. If you choose to donate the unsellable items, you will get a charitable donation receipt when you pick up your money (or mailed, if that's what you choose).
YOU GET PAID!
Once your contract expires, we total what's due you, then send you an e-mail to let you know. You may pick up your check and any unsold items. If you'd rather get a check by mail, just let us know.

WHAT TO BRING
CURRENT STYLES
That's what you bought for the last baby, not when you got pregnant with your 9-year-old! We welcome maternity and nursing wear, as well as cloth slings and carriers.
IN SEASON
Shorts and tanks and such for Spring & Summer, January through July. Sweaters, fleece, etc. for Fall & Winter, July through January. Jeans accepted year-'round.
EXCELLENT CONDITION
No holes, no stains, no missing buttons, no loose seams. Light wash wear is okay; flaws are not. Ask yourself, Would I be willing to buy this?
READY-TO-SELL
Clean. Fresh. Pressed, if needed. Buttoned, zipped, laced, tied, etc.. Obviously, no deodorant marks. As close as possible to the way it looked when you bought it!
IN-DEMAND BRANDS
This one's tricky. Some women want exclusive labels, some want brands they trust, some just want something that fits. We feel that the best selling brands are the mid-range ones: Mimi, Olian, Gap, etc. Higher-end labels may not let you recoup anywhere near your original price. We are happy to direct you to another Atlanta-area store with a clientele better suited for designer labels. On the other hand, pricey hot jeans at a discount are, well, hot jeans at a discount. Who can resist that?! As for the other end of the clothing spectrum, some brands do better than others. We feel that Motherhood, Old Navy, Target, Kohls, etc. are already pretty affordable. But some items are awfully cute and on-trend and moms-to-be are happy to find an $8 pair of jeans. Just understand that with limited rack space, low-end labels may not be accepted.
WHAT NOT TO BRING
Used maternity or nursing bras, used underpants, used pantyhose, Spanx or tights. Used, freshly laundered maternity belts and girdles are okay.
